Parkinson’s

What is Parkinson’s?

Parkinson’s Disease is a disease that affects the way you move. It affects a chemical called Dopamine which sends signals to your body to control movement.

The primary cause is low Dopamine levels. Dopaminergic neurons ( a type of nerve cell) in the brain have died although the reason is unknown. Typical symptoms can include a tremor that usually starts in the hands, slowed movement, impaired posture and balance, speech changes and changes in writing.
